WHITEFISH, MONT. (May 19, 2020) -- With the announcement by Governor Steve Bullock moving Montana into Phase Two of the state's re-opening plan, as well as ending the 14-day self-quarantine directive as of June 1, 2020, the Whitefish emergency lodging ordinance will allow city lodging facilities to provide accommodations for all travelers also starting on June 1, 2020.
"Now that we prepare to welcome visitors back, we ask travelers to show careful consideration during their visit to help maintain the wellbeing of our community members. As we begin this re-opening, we need to maintain continued vigilance in our community. I want to emphasize the need to practice six feet social distancing and frequent hand washing, We ask that everyone wear masks in public places that do not allow for social distancing, and limit gatherings," said Whitefish City Manager, Dana Smith.
